Tendon Changing Marrow Washing: September 2025
Bodhidharma, Ukiyo-e woodblock print by Japanese artist Yoshitoshi, 1887
Thought to be the practice of 6th century Buddhist Monk Da Mo (Boddhidharma) Tendon Changing Marrow Washing is a collection of movements designed for the martial artist and meditator alike.
This method of transforming the tendon and ligamental structure of the body is designed to encourage a strong and flexible frame. This method’s focus is to prepare the practitioner for external strength needed for martial arts.
This 8 week course will introduce you to the framework and methods for applying a new routine for your internal and external fortification. Whether you’re an athlete, avid gardener, martial artist or curious contemplative practitioner, this course is beginner and advanced friendly.
Students are encouraged to practice between classes and will have video tutorials to reference
Community building is a part of this class. We end the cohort with a celebration dinner at a local restaurant.
We will focus on the 12 core movements and investigate them in depth throughout the program. Students will leave with an understanding of not only the movement, but what the movement generates in the body.
