Seasonal Tea & Qigong: Frost Descent @ The Bridge, Kingston
What happens when we allow our consciousness to merge with the environment through the ancient practice of Gong Fu Cha (Skillfully Brewed Tea)? This gathering weaves together philosophical inquiry and moving meditation, creating space for both inner exploration and shared discovery.
Drawing on over ten years of steeping, selecting, and sharing Chinese & Taiwanese teas, I invite you into a practice of deep listening—to the tea, to the season, and to the wisdom that emerges when we slow down together. Our conversations may drift from contemplative quiet to jovial and raucous sharing—tea has a way of opening hearts and loosening tongues in the most delightful ways.
How do we align ourselves with autumn's rhythm? We'll explore qigong movements that attune us to seasonal energy as we approach the Equinox. What does it mean to honor the stomach and spleen during this time of gathering and storing? How might we cultivate a free and easy relationship with change as nature demonstrates her own graceful transitions?
We'll gather at The Bridge in Kingston—a beautiful community space nestled in the Rondout, where questions can unfold naturally, laughter can bubble up spontaneously, and insights can steep like tea.
What will you discover when you give yourself permission to simply be present? Come in comfortable clothing that welcomes gentle movement, and bring a journal to capture whatever wants to be remembered.
Please arrive early—we begin this practice together, on time <3
